The 6MW Goldwind turbine blades for the Mt Weld Hybrid Power Station have arrived at the Port of Geraldton and are now being transported to site.
Once installed, the 24MW wind farm will become a key component of the approx. 65MW hybrid power system developed by Zenith Energy for Lynas Rare Earths—combining wind, solar, gas, battery storage and synchronous condensers into a single integrated solution.
With engine-off capability and a ~70% renewable energy target, the system supports Lynas’ transition from diesel to a firmed renewable energy supply.
Another step forward in powering responsible mining.
