For a second consecutive year Asian Power Awards have recognised Zenith Energy as Independent PThe first components of the four GW165/6.0MW Goldwind turbines have started arriving at the Bellevue Gold Project site, with the turbine blades successfully transported from Geraldton Port. This milestone marks significant progress in the development of the 88MW hybrid power station at the Bellevue Gold Project.

Zenith Energy, under a 15-year power purchase agreement, will finance, build, own, and operate the hybrid power solution, which consists of wind (24MW), solar (27MW), thermal (24MW), and a Battery Energy Storage System (15 MW/33 MWh). The innovative energy system also includes LNG storage and regasification, and synchronous condensers to stabilise the network. This hybrid solution will provide up to 80% of the project’s energy needs from renewable sources, aligning with Bellevue’s goal to become Australia’s first carbon-neutral gold producer.

The hybrid power station will operate on up to 100% renewable energy during periods of optimal wind and solar conditions, supporting Bellevue’s decarbonisation objectives by synchronising milling activities with renewable energy availability.
