The wind turbine blades—four GW165/6.0MW Goldwind turbines—have arrived at Geraldton Port, marking a key milestone in the development of an 88MW hybrid power station for the Bellevue Gold Project. Under a 15-year power purchase agreement, Zenith Energy will finance, build, own, and operate this hybrid solution, which integrates wind, solar, thermal, and battery storage to supply up to 80% of the project’s energy needs from renewable sources.
Once operational, the station will further enable Bellevue Gold Mine to operate on up to 100% renewable energy during optimal conditions, supporting their goal to become Australia’s first carbon-neutral gold producer and furthering our commitment to sustainable, off-grid energy for the resources sector.
