For Eve Jackson, a career in procurement wasn’t part of her original plan—but it quickly became her passion. Starting out as a receptionist at Zenith Energy, she soon found herself drawn to procurement activities, leading her to take on her current role as a Procurement Administrator. Now, she co-ordinates operations, corporate, and project requisitions, ensuring the smooth processing of purchase orders, goods receipts, invoicing, and price discrepancy investigations. 

Looking back on her journey, Eve sees Zenith Energy as the perfect environment for growth. She initially sought a career change and embraced the receptionist role, but as she transitioned into procurement, she discovered a field that truly excites her. “I love that Zenith provides so many opportunities to learn and develop,” she says. “It’s an environment where I can keep growing while contributing to the team.” 

Zenith’s collaborative culture is one of the things she enjoys most about her work. She appreciates the open communication and the energy of a dedicated team, making every workday enjoyable. “Working with such supportive colleagues makes all the difference—it’s a great place to be,” she adds. 

Her biggest achievement came in March 2024, when she helped clean up over 600 outstanding project orders. Through focused effort and teamwork, the number was reduced to under 100 overdue orders in just a month, strengthening collaboration between the projects and procurement teams. 

Zenith Energy has also played a key role in her professional development. Coming from a retail background, she has gained significant expertise in procurement and recently completed her Certificate IV in Business Procurement, a 16-month journey supported by work-study days and her colleagues. “I had so many questions along the way, but my team was always there to help. Their insights made learning so much easier,” she recalls. 

When it comes to work-life balance, Eve appreciates the flexibility Zenith Energy provides. Looking ahead, she’s excited to deepen her knowledge of procurement, suppliers, and supply chain systems, continuing to grow alongside the company.
