I joined Zenith Energy in 2023 as a Project Engineer. Early on, I had the opportunity to work hands-on with the development, planning, and execution of four successful wind projects. That experience gave me a solid understanding of how all parts of the business come together — from design and procurement to construction and commissioning.
Today, I’m the Project Manager for one of Zenith’s large-scale renewable energy projects. My role involves overseeing every stage of delivery and making sure all the moving parts — wind, solar, and battery storage — fit together safely and efficiently.
What first attracted me to Zenith was the complexity of its hybrid renewable systems. The idea of working on projects that push the boundaries of what’s possible in remote mining operations was exactly the kind of challenge I was looking for. Since joining, I’ve realised how agile the company is. You’re trusted to take ownership and make decisions — and that makes it a really rewarding place to work.
A typical day for me starts with checking progress updates and coordinating across teams to make sure everything’s on track. When I’m on site, my focus shifts to managing SIMOPS — ensuring that different work scopes don’t overlap and that operations run smoothly. No two days are ever the same, and that’s one of the things I enjoy most.
Zenith has supported me to grow quickly in my career. Moving from Project Engineer to Project Manager in a short time has been a big step, but one the company has encouraged and backed. I’ve had great mentoring, and I’ve learned to manage not just the technical side of projects but also the commercial and strategic aspects that make them succeed.
Looking ahead, my goal is to deliver our current project successfully and carry those lessons into future ones. The industry is evolving fast, and Zenith Energy is right at the forefront of that change — leading the way in hybrid renewable solutions for mining and beyond.
