Can you briefly describe your role and responsibilities at Zenith Energy, and how long you’ve been with the company?
I am a Plant Mechanic Apprentice, at the end of my second year with Zenith. I attend to breakdowns and help service the engines when required.
- What initially attracted you to work for Zenith Energy, and how has your perception of the company evolved since joining?
Zenith gave me the opportunity to pursue an apprenticeship and a user-friendly roster. From day one Zenith has been fully supportive of me. Everyone is very friendly and willing to give you a hand when you need it. If I don’t know something, all I need to do is pick up the phone and there is usually someone at the end who can help me out. It has never changed for me over the two years since I joined.
- How would you describe the company culture at Zenith Energy, and what aspects of it do you find most appealing or challenging?
Very positive, never any negativity.
- Can you share a specific project or achievement during your time at Zenith Energy that you are particularly proud of?
Very proud of the fact that my Superintendent allowed me to work autonomously, as an apprentice, it gives me so much more confidence knowing my bosses have faith in me to do the job.
- In what ways has Zenith Energy supported your professional growth and development?
Just giving me the chance to become an apprentice and be part of such an experienced team, learning something new all the time.
- How does Zenith Energy prioritise work-life balance and employee well-being?
With their rosters, it helps to have a good length of time at home.
- Looking to the future, what do you envision for your career at Zenith Energy, and how do you see the company evolving in the industry?
I see myself staying in a Field Service role for some time and hoping it will be with Zenith. I’m also keen to explore a dual trade.
