In early May 2026, Bellevue Gold achieved 155 consecutive hours of engine-off operations — more than six and a half days running entirely on renewable energy.

This is a significant milestone, not only for the project, but for what is possible in the Australian energy sector and demonstrating nation-leading progress in renewable energy for remote mining operations.

We’re proud to support Bellevue Gold on this journey through our 90 MW hybrid power station, which brings together solar (27 MW), wind (24 MW), battery storage (15 MW / 33 MWh) and thermal backup.

The system is designed to meet at least 80% of site energy needs from renewables, and moments like this show what that looks like in practice – especially with the right weather conditions.

It is another step forward in Bellevue Gold’s journey as the world’s first net zero (Scope 1 and Scope 2) emission gold mine.
