7minZenith Energy has successfully commissioned the gas generation plant at Mt Weld, marking a major milestone in our partnership with Lynas Rare Earths Ltd.
* Powering Ahead – Since November 2024, we have been supplying power via diesel generation, and the transition to gas-fired power is now complete.
* Early Completion – The 5 x 3.4MW gensets were commissioned and tested ahead of schedule, with full handover on 1 March 2025.
*Seamless Execution – With the LNG supply facility ready ahead of time, performance testing wrapped up smoothly in mid-February.
With the gas plant fully operational, Lynas Rare Earths Ltd has now begun its transition to gas-fired power, further enhancing reliability and efficiency at Mt Weld.
