On 17 April 2019, Zenith Energy announced it had signed a new Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with existing customer, Silver Lake Resources, to extend and expand its Build Own and Operate (BOO) power station at the Daisy Milano Gold Mine. The project, Daisy Milano Gold Mine, is now owned and operated by Vault Minerals.

Project Background

The Daisy Milano Gold Mine is located 50 km south-east of Kalgoorlie at Mount Monger Station in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields region.

Zenith Energy has been providing BOO remote power to the operation since 2012, initially supplying a 12 MW power station. In 2019, Zenith signed a new Power Purchase Agreement with Silver Lake Resources to extend and expand the power station, increasing its capacity to 18.3 MW through additional gas-fired generation and diesel backup.

The project is now owned and operated by Vault Minerals, with Zenith continuing to provide remote power under a BOO model. Zenith’s current project information lists the Daisy Milano power station at 17.4 MW, powered by gas and diesel.
