While it sounds simple, it can be a difficult concept for businesses to grasp and requires a certain level of self-reflection.
At Zenith Energy, we recognise there are several challenges that must be overcome to allow us to achieve Net Zero by our company-set target of 2035.
While Zenith has developed a team of highly experienced people with the industry knowledge to develop the solutions required, we are also acutely aware that to be successful, we need assistance from outside our company.
It’s for this reason that Zenith has embarked on a number of partnerships – including two we recently announced: the agreement with 5B to become a 5B Maverick System deployment partner, and also our collaboration with IGO to achieve 100 percent renewable power generation at the Nova nickel site in the WA Goldfields.
In each instance, Zenith was keen to partner with like-minded companies, who are also striving to reach decarbonisation milestones.
It allows us to work together, drawing on each other’s niche skills and expertise to develop a multi-faceted solution.
However, in order for it to be successful, it first requires us to recognise our own unique skill-set, and then search for collaborations that complement that skill-set and provide missing pieces of our particular puzzle.
It’s this pragmatic mindset that sits at the heart of our culture at Zenith and allows us to provide individualised power generation solutions to our clients.
I have previously spoken about Zenith’s ability to embrace the patchwork of people within our own organisation, with each employee bringing a particular set of circumstances and experiences to the table.
The same can be said of our industry, and it’s important that we embrace this wider patchwork where required, to empower Zenith in being able to reach our goals.
Business collaborations aren’t new, and in the case of Net Zero, it’s far too great a challenge for any one company to attempt on their own.
Instead, we must create partnerships that deliver mutual benefits, and enhance the delivery of skills to achieve a shared goal.
